The sharpest threads, the best music, from way back then till today, the fashion refuses to give up, and make us wear track suits, AAARRRGHH!! What a horrible thought!! Some of the best photos, us as kids in the 80′s side by side with the best of Mods and Scooters around, a pure blend of “away from the numbers” I always had a habit of finding photos no one else can get their hands on. I’m a Glasgow Mod at heart, and from Easterhouse, thanks to modern technology, I can put the thoughts in my head and onto video, this Lou Rawls Soul song meant so much to me since I first heard it on a 45rpm I got in 1983. Got some unseen photos from 1968, watch and see, all will be revealed, there is a lot of good people in Glasgow, this is the story of one of them, me! Enjoy the Soul music!!

Just found this a few days ago, and I was totally blown away!! Don Convay,Solomom Burke,Joe Tex,Arthur Conley and Ben E.Kings one off Soul get together, mind blowing SOUL!! I have added some hard to find Soul photos of the greatest male and female Soul singers and groups, plus one I found of Jackie Wilson with The Everly Brothers, and Elvis with 3 of his Gospel backing singers you won’t find, Icame across the photo believe it or not on a website that was about CARS!! Couldn’t make the connection between Elvis and a Ford Mustang??? Anyway I will the let the Soul Music do the talking,over to The Soul Clan-Meeting in progress!!

A wee gem of a Northern Soul song from this much admired Wigan Casino girl group, even managed to find some hard to find tour photos of the girls on the road, one on the tour bus in black and white, and one taken from above in what looks like a pure Mod Club, all the guys are suits and ties, ultra smart photo plus the girls wearing green dresses on a tv programme coloured photo a magic find. Added a few of my own from my collection, brilliant tune from the group, enjoy!!

I loved watching this as a kid, still do, the car chases, the gun fights, the loud explosions, and even louder flowery shirts complete with volume control, ’cause they were so LOUD!!,ha,ha! Done a lot of editing on this to try and capture just a fraction of the excitement, so I hope you all enjoy this, Jack Lord was the biz as Steve McGarrett, we had the hard as nails The Sweeney, they had the sunshine, glamorous woman, surfing, you never heard Steve McGarrett ever say, “GET YOUR HULA SKIRT ON YOU SLAG,YOU’RE NICKED!!”………If only,if only,lol!!
